HIGH Fashion... Mortals, can you handle it!?

Remember when images of Beyonce' emerged on the internet of her filming scenes for her tour while wearing the now infamous dress by designer Theirry Mugler? Some people were really riled up over the silhouette of the dress as it had major exaggerations around the hip area. Many assumed that was wearing pads to emphasize her shape. Beyonce' then addressed the press with regard to the controversy, as they naturally wanted to know if she was wearing padded hips. She explained that the designer created the dress that way. However, there were still many naysayers who believed that she not only wore hip pads with that dress, but also with many of her other ensembles to over accentuate her assets. Well, I stumbled upon a picture of reality personality Kourtney Kardashian wearing one of Theirry Mugler's designs and indeed it had that very same enhanced shape. So as they say, the proof is in the pudding and evidence will forever silence critics. Love, NB

Mid-day check in!

Hey! Just checking in to let you know what's good with your flygirl! Right now I'm still in the corporate world feeling desperate for artistic creativity. They can have my mind but they could never have my soul!!! LOL So I've been having a great day! I've been on and off twitter today and unfortunately there's not to much goings on. However, TMZ just leaked the pictures of Solange lying on an airport floor. Last week Solange was twittering from her flight and said that she was feeling sick and had taken some Nyquil. Later she tweeted that she was feeling sleepy. Then finally she checked back in on twitter and said that she passed out at the airport and was in the hospital! Well some may have thought she was kidding because of her vivacious personality, but TMZ has posted the proof! Currently, Solange has recovered and is on tour with Estelle. She frequently tweets and seems to be in great spirits! Gotta go Love, NB xox

Best Dress for Oscar Night

So yesterday the 81st Annual Academy Awards went down at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.
I sooo wish I was there ( maybe next year LOL). All the hottest stars were in attendance. I do love the actual award ceremony, which had taken a whole new approach and it was very refreshing. It was almost snore-proof LOL To me,what's more fun to blog about is....the fashion! So I totally anticipate watching Fashion Police at 10/9 central on E! they had the ntire red carpet covered from top to bottom. Off memory I do know that I loved Heidi Klums dress and she was best dressed to me. She looked really pretty and regal to me. I think that she's gonna get slammed tonight though. From what I saw on E! News today they didn't really like it. Whatever, she looked beautiful!!! They were even trying to go in on her hair! This evening I was thinking about the direction I want to take this blog site. In the beginning I stated that I would make this site where you could come to get all things fly. Crunch Time (Literally)

SoOoO, here in Baltimore on the east coast it's winter time, but these last couple of days we've been having some fairly decent weather. It's has sort of given me the reality check I needed to put my exercise regime in overdrive. I wanna be in top condition for the spring and summer. The sun can be so inspirational. Flow-ey materials, lighter fabrics and the warm temperature has given me a slap of reality. Fly chicks are fit and healthy period. Therefor I have to cut the blog entry short to put some work in....wish me luck :) NB xox

Blog Make-over/under

So...notice anything different? We have a new look babies! Courtesy of TheMakeupGirl!!! We met up on yesterday for the first annual Makeup and Mojitos Tweet Meet! I had blast with all the ladies sipping and shopping. Fun Times! However, she and others decided that although I confirmed that I only blog as a part time and I don't consider the information provided formal, I still should have a better format and way for you all to navigate through the site. This Weekend

I'm so excited to have been twitvited to a get together hosted by @themakeupgirl from my twitter.com fam. She came up with the ingenious idea to have lunch, gossip and shop. What more could a girl ask for? On 2/7 we all are meeting for the Make-Up and Mojitos gathering at PF Chang's and then we're heading over to Tyson's Corner for MAC make-up shopping!!!! Yes! Everyone is already raving about the new Hello Kitty collection. I can't wait.....pics to follow!!! Luvs ya NB xox

Hi Lovelys

How are u? As for me, I'm cool. I'm spending the afternoon at home to catch up on all things that I seem to procrastinate with (example given)...this blog, forgive me. I've been working hard of course. My New Years resolution which was to mature financially is coming along. I've started paying myself first as my daddy suggested years ago. It has been the most elevating experience. Now, I'm the boss! What else? Oh yeah I'm hesitating telling you all that I've finally smacked some since into myself and realized that the longer I wait, the longer it will take. Soooo...I got braces on my teeth to help straighten out my smile. Speaking of my dad I had to give him all the credit (not). It was approximately 18 years ago that we were at Easter Wood park. My brother was playing basketball and I wanted to play on the swing set. So he put me on and started to push. Then, he eased away to also watch my brother. I hopped off the swings to follow him and was kicked in the mouth by my friend who was also swinging. Yeah! Thanks a lot Dad!!!! So I give him hell for that to this day and beyond. Anywayz, I'm learning to deal. Hey I'm still fly! Forever and always. I'll be back soon Love. NB xox
